The client area contains a number of private galleries of my commissioned work for clients' reference, search and ordering. Access is restricted to the client. There is no public or other user access to client galleries.
I receive an average of 2 proposals a week from people who have "no budget" for photographs. Book publishers, magazines, newspapers, charities, corporates and start-ups nowadays all believe that photos are cost free, or that they are doing me a favour by offering to use my work and giving me a byline.
Whether permission and/or model releases are required for photography is a subject that frequently causes confusion. I have seen a lot of problems arise through clients charging ahead, sometimes on the basis of overcautious legal advice, and frightening subjects silly with draconian and unnecessary paperwork.
